Oats are a good source of soluble fibre and naturally contain beta-glucan, which helps to lower cholesterol. Studies show that the inclusion of oats in a diet low in saturated fat and a healthy lifestyle can help to reduce blood cholesterol. This gluten free porridge is suitable for coeliacs and has no added refined sugar or salt. Since starting in 1975, Alara has had a passion for both health and sustainability. Back in 1975 we created the first recipe in the UK for muesli without added sugar.
