180 Caps of 500 mg Evening Primrose Oil, to provide 9% omega-6 fatty acid GLA which helps regulate many body functions including hormones, blood pressure, healthy skin and the reproductive cycle. Free from sugar, lactose, yeast, gluten and wheat.
Fatty acids, sometimes referred to as vitamin F, are divided into several types, the most common of which are omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9. Evening Primrose Oil is high in omega-6. Omega-6 fatty acids include linolenic acid, gamma-linolenic acid and arachidonic acid, which are all polyunsaturated. Omega-6 dietary sources are usually plant derived, particularly seeds and nuts. Several reports suggest that by increasing our intake of fatty acids we can maintain our brain function, metabolism and energy levels and help maintain our immune system.
Evening Primrose Oil is a great source of omega-6, especially Gamma Linolenic Acid - GLA. GLA helps the production of hormone-like substances, called prostaglandins, which regulate many body functions such as blood pressure, the reproductive cycle and help maintain healthy skin.
