Product Description

First we press the avocado meat cold and use the fruit that comes from this first press. (Note: The remaining fruit is often mixed with hexane and pressed a second or third time and sold as less expensive oil. We only use pressed oil, not the second or third pressure, and our oil is never extracted with hexane.) After the meat is pressed, we cool it slightly so that the oil begins to separate from the pressed avocado meat. After that, the mixture is passed through a large centrifuge in which the pure oil is separated from the pressed fruit. It requires multiple steps through the centrifuge to get pure oil, but the added time is worth it. Think of the centrifuge as a cream separator. The use of a centrifugal extracted process preserves the integrity and high nutrient content of the oil.
