Description

• Golden harvest crab apples are brought to the boil and simmered gently to extract the full flavour and colour from the apples.
• The juice and fruit are then transferred into our fruit press and squeezed slowly to release the full flavour.
• The Wilkin family have been farming at Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and making quality preserves there since 1885.
• We grow a wide range of traditional English fruits and use them to make conserves and condiments in our nut-free factory by the farm.
• Our products are made to cherished recipes and are free from artificial colours and flavours. We inspect and prepare our fruit by hand then cook in small batches using traditional, copper-bottomed pans.

Product Description

The Wilkin family have been farming at Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and making quality preserves and spreads there since 1885. We grow a wide range of traditional English fruits and use them to make conserves, condiments, and other treats in our factory by the farm. We grow in a sustainable manner, engaging the local community in our long term approach. Fruit crops include strawberries, raspberries, mulberries, cherries, rhubarb, damson, quince, and the curious medlar. Every member of staff is part of our share ownership scheme, giving each a keen interest in the future of the business. Our products are made to cherished recipes and are free from artificial colours and flavours. We take an artisan approach to production, cooking in small batches using traditional methods. We received our first Royal Warrant from George V in 1911 and we presently hold the Royal Warrant as purveyors of Tiptree Products to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Our products are enjoyed in over sixty countries across the world, and are available in fine retailers, premium hotels, quality airlines, and other discerning customers.

Crab Apple Juice, Sugar, Acidity Regulator: Sodium Citrate. Prepared with 55g of crab apples per 100g. Total sugar content 67g per 100g.

Directions

Open the jar and serve directly. Can be enjoyed with toast or as a filling for pastries.
